Hampden Bank delivers strong first-half performance

Hampden Bank has reported a strong performance for the six months ended 30 June 2026, delivering continued growth in profitability, deposits and lending while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and investing in people to support future growth.

Profit before tax (unaudited) for the six months to 30 June 2026 was £4.7 million, an increase of 91 per cent on the prior year. Total deposits grew to £1.327 billion, up 36 per cent year-on-year, while loan balances increased to £661 million, representing growth of 8 per cent compared with 30 June 2025.

The Bank also recorded another strong set of client satisfaction results, achieving a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 75, an overall client satisfaction score of 9.1 out of 10 and retaining more than 99 per cent of clients.

During the first half of the year, the Bank continued to invest in its long-term growth strategy. In June, Hampden Bank marked the official launch of its North and Midlands base in Manchester, expanding its regional presence and creating a dedicated hub to support clients across the region. The Bank also strengthened its leadership team through a number of senior appointments, including Chris Williamson as Head of Data, Liz Wilde as Head of Product and Proposition, and the creation of a new Director of Marketing and Communications role.

Jonathan Peake, Hampden Bank’s Chief Financial Officer, said:

"The first half of 2026 has been another period of strong performance for Hampden Bank. We have continued to grow deposits and lending while delivering a significant increase in profitability, reflecting the strength of our business model and the trust our clients place in us."

Tracey Davidson, Hampden Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, added:

"We are particularly encouraged by our latest client satisfaction results. An NPS of 75, a client satisfaction score of 9.1 out of 10 and a retention rate of more than 99% demonstrate the value clients place on a relationship-led approach to banking and the dedication of our colleagues across the UK."

"Alongside this performance, we continue to invest in the future of the Bank. Expanding our presence in the North and Midlands and welcoming experienced leaders across data, product, marketing and business development strengthens our ability to support clients and their ambitions across the UK.”
