Hampden Bank offers deposit services to help Credit Unions manage their liquidity requirements over the short, medium and long term. Our suite of Fixed Term deposits ranges from 1 month to 2 years and we can create bespoke deposits to mature on specific dates or for longer terms.

We make onboarding and transacting simple and account opening can be completed electronically. Your nominated banker and dedicated support team are available to you and will assist you in the management of your accounts.

Financial strength and a conservative approach to risk

Without a need to raise debt in the financial markets, we do not require a credit rating. Instead, independent treasury expert YourTreasurer, analyses and reports on the Bank’s financial strength. A copy of their due-diligence assessment is available on request. The Bank does not participate in speculative trading in the markets. We maintain a strong Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and hold a significant level of high quality, highly liquid assets to meet any potential liquidity requirements. Hampden Bank is regulated by both the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority.

To open and hold a deposit account, a Hampden Bank current account is also required to service account deposits and withdrawals.

*Your eligible deposits with Hampden Bank are protected up to a total of £120,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the UK’s deposit guarantee scheme. The FSCS is governed by specific rules on compensation which determines your eligibility. An information sheet and a list of exclusions from the Scheme will be provided to clients annually.
