Meet the team

Jeremy began his career with NatWest in 1980 before joining Hill Samuel Bank in 1989 and in 1997, he moved to Adam & Co. Jeremy joined Hampden Bank in 2013 and as Managing Director of Banking, his role is to ensure our clients receive an exceptional service.

Jeremy is a Trustee of the St James’s Conservation Trust which works to protect and improve the beautiful and historic area of St James’s in the heart of London.

Caroline specialises in banking for clients involved in property development, agriculture and landed estates. She started her career with the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation in 1990, before joining Adam & Company in 1997. She joined Hampden Bank in 2014.

Hannah leads our banking team in London and our mortgage intermediaries team. She joined Hampden Bank in 2022 after working in private banking and business development roles with both C. Hoare & Co and Coutts, where her particular focus was on serving the banking needs of entrepreneurs, international clients and philanthropists. Hannah holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice.

Chris specialises in commercial real estate banking, working with property investors, developers and business owners across a broad range of sectors.

Paul has a wealth of financial services knowledge and experience having worked in the industry for 38 years. His previous roles have included Mortgage Broking, Business Development and Private Banking.

Matthew has worked as a private banker for more than 20 years. He started his career in 2004 with NatWest, moving to Coutts in 2007 before joining Hampden Bank in 2018. As Head of Mortgage Intermediary Lending, Matthew leads our team working with mortgage brokers to arrange borrowing for their clients. He holds a BSC (Hons) in Business Management, the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice and the Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice.

Samantha has over 35 years’ banking experience. She started her career with Child & Co in 1989 before joining RBS Corporate and Commercial in 1998. In 2004 she joined Adam & Company as Associate Director. She holds an ACIB Certificate in Financial Services and a Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice. Samantha joined Hampden Bank in 2014.

Kevin started his career with Lloyds Banking Group before moving to C. Hoare & Co where he spent more than 23 years, including 15 as a relationship manager for clients ranging from City professionals, industry leaders, estate owners and entrepreneurs to entertainers. He also looked after the banking needs of corporate clients including partnerships and LLPs, on and offshore trusts, family offices, charities and Livery companies. Kevin holds the CeMAP qualification. He joined the team at Hampden Bank in 2022.

John is a Banking Director based in our London office and he joined Hampden Bank in 2023. He spent more than ten years of his career with Kleinwort Hambros (formerly Kleinwort Benson) where he was a Private Banker in their Ultra High Net Worth team.

Patrick has worked in banking for more than 14 years having started his career with Coutts in 2010. In 2014, he moved to C. Hoare & Co where, as a relationship manager, he worked with a wide range of clients from individuals and corporate entities to trusts and charities. Patrick joined Hampden Bank in 2023 as a Banking Director in our London office. He has a particular interest in working with business owners, supporting their unique journey, particularly as they use both their knowledge and wealth to make a positive impact on society.

Rory is a Banking Director in our London office. He joined Hampden Bank in 2016 and he works with a wide range of clients from entrepreneurs and executives to sports, arts and media personalities.

Julian specialises in commercial banking and offers strong business, technical and relationship expertise. He has a deep understanding of client needs, developed from a career working with private banks and with luxury lifestyle brands.

Joe has worked in banking for more than 16 years having started his career with Lloyds Banking Group in 2008. He joined the team at Hampden Bank in 2018 and as Associate Banking Director, he works with a range of clients, assessing their borrowing and deposit requirements to provide a tailored solution and a personalised banking experience. Joe holds the Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice.

In a 30-year career, Haydn has held a wide range of senior leadership positions.

Claire has been providing banking expertise and lending solutions to personal and business clients for 40 years.

Ian offers clients and their advisers deep commercial and technical expertise from a 38-year career in personal and corporate banking.

Liz Williamson thrives on helping clients to navigate complex financial situations. Using her extensive commercial expertise and deep knowledge of credit, she specialises in securing structured lending.

Mark leads our banking team serving clients in Scotland. He has more than 40 years’ experience helping clients with complex finances and specialises in helping those with commercial banking needs. Mark was formerly Head of Corporate Banking in Scotland for Lloyds Bank and joined Hampden Bank in 2017. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute.

Clare has 23 years banking experience and started her career in 2001 with Tesco Personal Finance before joining The Royal Bank of Scotland. In 2016 she joined Handelsbanken where she helped to set up their new Dunfermline office.

Graeme has more than 32 years’ experience in private banking having started his career in 1992 with Adam & Co. He joined Hampden Bank in 2016 and works with clients from a wide range of different backgrounds and professions. Graeme is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Ian started in banking in 1997 with RBS and has held senior roles with Adam & Co and Handelsbanken where he specialised in helping business owners, directors and other professionals. Ian joined Hampden Bank in 2020.

Ryan has worked in banking for more than 30 years in senior roles with Adam & Company and Clydesdale Bank. His broad experience across Retail, Private, Commercial, Corporate and Offshore banking allows him to truly understand the needs of a wide range of clients and the ways in which he can help them to achieve both their personal and professional goals. Ryan joined Hampden Bank in 2021.

Gill has more than 23 years experience helping clients to build and preserve their wealth. She joined Hampden Bank in 2022 from Adam & Company where she was Associate Director, Private Banking. Gill has a European Business Law degree from the University of Abertay and holds the Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice.

Alistair offers clients strong relationship, technical and commercial expertise, developed over a 35-year career working in retail and corporate banking, internal audit, equity investment, transaction execution and portfolio management. He joined Bank of Scotland in 1989 and worked for Lloyds Banking Group, Standard Life 1825 and Homes England before joining Hampden Bank in 2022. Alistair is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Matt joined Hampden Bank in 2016. He is a certified member of the Chartered Banker Institute and has attained the Associate Chartered Banker Diploma. Matt has an MA Degree in Politics from the University of Edinburgh and attained the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice (CeMAP) with a Distinction.

Gillian has worked in banking for more than 30 years. She started with The Royal Bank of Scotland where she worked in their Private Banking, Corporate and Commercial businesses. Gillian joined Hampden Bank in 2018.

Graeme is a highly experienced banking and business development professional with over 25 years in financial services, specialising in relationship management, commercial growth, and customer experience.

Linda started her career in banking with Lloyds TSB in 1989 where she worked with clients with complex property financing requirements. She joined The Co-operative Bank in 2015 before joining the team at Hampden Bank in 2017. Her particular expertise is working with clients who own their own businesses, including property investors and developers.

Chris has more than 20 years’ experience working in partnership with clients and professional advisers. He started his career with BNY Mellon before joining Hampden Bank in 2014. With a background in bespoke lending, Chris specialises in assisting clients who have complex borrowing needs. He is passionate about delivering a personalised banking experience and working closely with clients’ other advisers to ensure a holistic approach.

Sarah is an Associate Banking Director based in our Edinburgh office. She works with a wide range of clients and has a deep passion for delivering an exceptional service and positive outcomes.

Cody is an Associate Banking Director based in our Edinburgh office and has been part of Hampden Bank since 2018. He brings extensive experience across banking, credit operations and credit risk, enabling him to provide tailored banking, deposit and lending support to a broad range of clients — including individuals, families, businesses and trusts.

Matthew has worked as a private banker for more than 20 years. He started his career in 2004 with NatWest, moving to Coutts in 2007 before joining Hampden Bank in 2018. As Intermediary Relationship Director, Martin works primarily with mortgage brokers to help tailor borrowing solutions to meet the needs of clients.

Owain has built his career across private and commercial banking, bringing extensive experience from roles at Coutts, RBC and Investec. He joined Hampden Bank in 2026 as a Banking Director in our London office, where he specialises in bespoke lending and complex borrowing solutions for high-net-worth private clients and corporate entities.

Ryan joined Hampden Bank in 2023, bringing more than 23 years’ experience of working with high-net-worth clients and professional partners. He started his career with RBS before joining Coutts, where he spent 6 years working across private banking and wealth management. He joined C. Hoare & Co. in 2013 where, as Relationship Manager, he specialised in providing regulated mortgage advice and developed relationships with wealth managers, accountants and solicitors. Ryan holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice.

Tracey is Chief Executive Officer at Hampden Bank. She joined the Bank in 2024 from Handelsbanken Plc where she was Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Jonathan joined Hampden Bank in 2022 from Standard Bank International where he spent more than six years as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director for the banking and wealth management businesses with responsibility for £6bn of client deposits and £2.5bn of AUM.

Greig Townsend is Chief Banking Officer at Hampden Bank. He leads banking teams across the UK to deliver an exceptional level of service to clients and to drive business growth.

Angela Dowd is Chief Operating Officer at Hampden Bank. She leads the Bank’s data strategy and several key strategic programs, including client proposition, new products and technology development. Angela oversees the Operations, Financial Crime and Product teams, drawing on 30 years’ experience in banking across corporate and retail banking, human resources, credit and risk management.

Graeme is Acting Chief Risk Officer at Hampden Bank, where he leads the Risk and Compliance function and serves as the Bank's Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Keith has over 20 years’ experience in People / HR strategy, operations and organisational change through holding senior business facing HR roles in UK and global organisations.
