Haydn Aird

In a 30-year career, Haydn has held a wide range of senior leadership positions.

In 2007, after 16 years with HSBC, he joined Handelsbanken to open its Chester branch. As Area Manager, he helped to open, support and grow a host of further branches. He became Area Director for the north of the UK following the acquisition of the Handelsbanken wealth and asset management business where he recruited and led a team of Client Directors. He also undertook several other roles including Head of Third-Party Distribution, Chief Financial Crime Prevention Officer and as Project Adviser restructuring the UK bank. Haydn was Branch Manager at the Handelsbanken Wilmslow office before joining Hampden Bank in 2025.

As Head of Banking, Haydn is responsible for the banking needs of clients in the North and Midlands. He is establishing our team and business based in Manchester, the first new office outside Edinburgh and London.

Haydn is an Associate of the Chartered Bankers Institute and holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
