Angela Dowd

Angela Dowd is Chief Operating Officer at Hampden Bank. She leads the Bank’s data strategy and several key strategic programs, including client proposition, new products and technology development. Angela oversees the Operations, Financial Crime and Product teams, drawing on 30 years’ experience in banking across corporate and retail banking, human resources, credit and risk management.

Prior to joining Hampden Bank, Angela held senior positions at Handelsbanken, including Chief Product and Sustainability Officer, UK Business Transformation Sponsor and Regional Head of Human Resources. She also opened and led their Wakefield and Halifax offices.

Angela holds professional memberships with MCIPD and MCMI, an MBA from York St John University, a degree in Strategic Leadership and Management and a BA from the University of Leeds.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her three dogs and riding her two horses in the West Yorkshire countryside.
