Ian offers clients and their advisers deep commercial and technical expertise from a 38-year career in personal and corporate banking.
Ian joined Hampden Bank in 2026 from Handelsbanken where he spent 15 years establishing and leading various branches across Manchester and West Yorkshire. He has also held senior roles managing client portfolios and large corporate and commercial relationships at both Allied Irish Bank and Midland Bank / HSBC.
Ian is an Associate of the Chartered Banker Institute, he holds the Advanced Professional Diploma in Non-Executive Directorship and he attained a first-class honours degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Central England.
Outside work, Ian is a keen sportsman and an avid fan of Newcastle United. He has also completed several endurance cycle rides to raise money for worthy causes.
